A stand alone read with a HEA. I really enjoyed this story. The heroine, a young woman with a bad childhood and a mother in prison moves to the small town to try and get her life on track and help her younger brother. She has temporary custody of the 12 year old boy. Their mother was anything but.... She was constantly parading guys in and out and neglecting her children. She finally went to prison for trying to have a person killed. Being older, the heroine becomes his caregiver. He is angry, resentful, and full of *iss and vinegar. You can tell the boy is hurting from his mother's actions and that his older sister left him with the mother and never looked back. As soon as she learned he was in foster care she went for him. Since her current boyfriend wanted nothing to do with a "child", they ended their relationship. All of the above greatly effected the two and fueled their thoughts and actions.Enter the hero. Bryson. At first glance he looks like an Irish bad boy bartender. Tattoos give the impression he is a lot more dangerous than he is. His family is local and he is now running the bar since his father retired. Actually he is a very loving, caring, kind and thoughtful man. He has been waiting for the right girl to come along and upon seeing Kelsi he knows she has arrived. He pursues her relentlessly. She runs, her thoughts of what has been her life keeps her from enjoying her present.
This is their story. I thought it was very entertaining. Holds the attention throughout. I have no problems with love at first sight and then getting to know the person and know you are right. Their issues take a backseat as their attraction turns to love. the dog, Goliath, plays a funny part. As well as the cat David. It is a very good read with a very happy ever after. I could see the brother transforming as soon as he had the male leadership he so desired. I think that is very possible. His "don't care" attitude was just a defense he had learned to use. When he no longer needed it, he dropped it and became the young boy he was meant to be. A good story all around. Lots of side characters that probably make this series a good one. I definitely recommend the book. There are open door bedroom scenes so if that is a problem for you, beware. Frankly, I was glad to see her give in, he was well worth it!!
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 3/17/18,

Trusting Bryson Wishing Well Texas Book 6 edition by Melanie Shawn Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
That’s 4 hours of my life that I will never get back.
I kept thinking (hoping) it would get better.
It didn’t.
Whatshername, the nittwit (h), needed to be punched upside the head! ... and perhaps in the boob, just for good measure!
Skimmed the last 30% ... and only then because I was waiting for my nails to dry before bed and it’s too late to start a new book.
Mic Drop!
Chani
Out!
This book is part of the Wishing Well series but is its own standalone HEA. I love Bryson, his darkness and unfiltered self is charming and puts you (well definitely me) on his team! With other characters making a cameo , this book is a great read. I really loved the David & Goliath names. Hilarious and full of hope, trust yourself and read it.
This was a cute story that goes well with the whole series. It was nice to hear about the previous characters and I already bought the next book! I gave it 4 stars because it felt like there was only one plot line and Kelsi used the same excuse many times to push Bryson away. I loved Milo and Sady and was happy with the ending. All in all a good read )
Loved Bryson and Kelsi! This was a great story, Bryson meets Kelsi and he is all in. Falling head over heels for her, he is a steady rock, but Kelsi has had a rough life and has custody of her 12 year old brother. She is starting a new life in a small town in Texas. Kelsi initially thinks Bryson is a bad boy based on his looks, she can't resist him, and Bryson does place himself directly in front of her. Kelsi does a number on him, but you do get your HEA.
This series is amazing, but this book was hard to put down. The love and open honesty was refreshing and made the book more captivating. I loved Bryson's determination, Kelsi's playfulness and all the characters strong sense of family. Enjoy!
Kelsie and her brother, Milo, are new in town. They've had a rough life and she has temporary custody of Milo. Their mother is in prison for trying to hire a hit man. Bryson makes a decision not to involve the police when Milo breaks into the bar. Instead, he puts Milo to work and finds out the boy is really smart and was just acting out when he got caught.
Kelsie and Bryson are pulled to each other, but they have a lot of things to work through....especially Kelsie.
A book that I had to read through to the end. I like Kelsie and Bryson. They make a great couple. I am enjoying this series.
This is a sweet romance. Bryson was born and raised in Wishing Well, Texas. He runs the only bar in town. Kelsi has just moved to the town after gaining temporary custody of her 12 year old brother Milo. Their mother is currently in prison, and there is no father figure. The mom has a history of somewhat shady, dubious characters as her unending line of boyfriends. Kelsi escaped her depressing childhood by moving out of state when she was 18. Although she tried to keep in touch with Milo, he had become distant (they used to be close), feeling that she had abandoned him. Kelsi is determined to do right by her brother and to repair their relationship, but Milo remains defiant, rebellious, and distant. Kelsi and Bryson meet when Milo breaks into the bar one night after hours and helps himself to some of the liquor. Bryson finds him when he comes to investigate when the alarm goes off. Kelsi and Bryson are immediately attracted to each other, but she is determined to resist him because she perceives him as a bad boy for whom she has no room in her life. Milo is her priority. An enjoyable read, as both Milo and Kelsi adapt to life in the small town and Bryson dedicates himself to winning Kelsi over. It was also nice to catch a glimpse of the couple from the last book. and other characters from earlier books in the series.
