I love LaVyrle Spencer. I have all her books in hard copy but was looking to add to my digitial collection. This is one of my favorite books. The subject is one that I have never really seen touched on by any other author.

Theresa is a music teacher that has been endowed by nature with more assets then she ever wanted. She is extremely self concious of her appearance and has been emotionally scared by the experiances that she has had dating.

Brian is her younger brother's air force friend. He has heard all about Theresa and her issues but something about her intrigues him. He comes home with her brother for the Christmas holiday and is different from every guy she has ever met. This friendship and then budding relationship helps Theresa heal emotionally and finally reach some important conclusion about her life.

I love this book. It takes a very honest look at what it is like for some women who have been endowed with more then their frame can truly handle. Our culture thinks that women with large breast have been "blessed" but for many women it is truly a curse. This book explores the subject in a very frank and emotional way. The romance is very sweet and I highly recommend this book.

Having had a friend in highschool who had the same figure type as Theresa, I know something about how it can affect almost everything a person does. A large bust is something many girls and women think they would love to be gifted with, but it can be a trial, especially when it happens that a girl developes breasts at a younger age than her friends do. The sensitivity with which Spencer writes this story is wonderful. She makes the characters believable.
Nice story, but seemed to go on and on about the same things forever. The foreplay in the sex part of it was way too detailed and strung out for me. It wasn't too sexy, or too graphic, just drug on and on. First time I every gave anything less than a 4 or 5 for Ms. Spencer books and I've read all but one or two. LOVE her stores!

My grandma gave me this book as a teenager. I had a similar issue. So when I found it on here I had to have it. Wish I could find it in print. It belongs ony bookshelf. Lost the one my granny gave me in a fire.
This was the third book that I've read by LaVyrle Spencer and I was disappointed. So far my reading experience with this author is going downhill fast. I began with Family Blessings which is great, but Sweet Memories leaves a lot to be desired. Spoiler Alert! I understood that Theresa was the person she was because of her extremely large breasts, but I got so tired of hearing about them. If she would've had the breast reduction surgery about one third of the way through the book, it would've been better. I was sitting here stunned that she'd never considered that option when someone else finally recommended it to her. Another thing, based on the narrative explaining what the book was about, I kept waiting for something to happen to Jeff or Brian. Finally, I never bought that Brian really loved Theresa. Some books make you "feel" the love between the hero and the heroine, but not Sweet Memories. So, read it if you will, but if you're looking for "the greatest book" you've ever read, then skip this one and read Family Blessings.
I love Miss Spencer's books she not only writes romance novels but she writes them so that you feel a part of the characters lives you feel their pain their hurt their sorrow their love their excitement every emotion she vividly describes.

In this book we have a very sweet and docile woman who has been tormented her whole life because of her endowment and it shows the struggles that she goes through to overcome her hangups and to allow herself to fall in love and enjoy herself the way a woman should.

At the tender age of 25 she is just now embarking on the steps towards womanhood that most women go through in their teenage years that she had to bypass that because of all the torment that she got from both the female and male students that she grew up with.

She also had to overcome the prejudices that her parents had towards her body because her mom also suffered from the same physical attributes that Teresa did.

So finally when she does meet Brian he is the first man to not just see her but to see within her and see her qualities and her personalities and that allowed her to let go and fall in love with him this is such a touching story he is gentle he is patient he is kind and he loves her and it shows the struggle that he went through because of her endowment he also had to Face his hangups because of the way that other men looked at her and he found himself questioning his prior relationships with women and it was just very touching to see the characters go through these emotions.

This is a book that I will read again and again my only only regret is that there is no epilogue to show us what happened in their happily ever after

Her older brother Jeff is in the air force. He brings home his best friend Brian for Christmas. Jeff told Brian about Theresa. So Brian is forewarned not to look at Theresa’s breasts when he meets her. She was surprised and pleased that Brian did not look at her chest. This is a gentle story of the sweet relationship that develops between Brian and Theresa.

There was one sex scene. It was more about tenderness and touching than passion.
